The NCCHPP's Thierno Diallo and the NCCEH's Shirra Freeman published an article on health impact assessment (HIA) entitled « Health impact assessment—insights from the experience of Québec” in Environmental Health Review (EHR), the Journal of the Canadian Institute of Public Health Inspectors.

This article provides an overview of the implementation of HIA across Canada with specific reference to institutionalization and public health professionals' experience. It also presents a review of the HIA experience in the Province of Québec and identifies lessons that could be applied to other Canadian jurisdictions.
