Presentation – The Role of Health Impact Assessment (HIA) in Planning for Healthier Environments: Introduction to the decision-support model of HIA
As part of the 2014 Canadian Institute of Planners (CIP) Conference “People Matter”, Julie Castonguay gave a presentation on how health impact assessment can assist decision makers in the development of healthy public policies.

This presentation was part of a session organized by the CIP Healthy Communities subcommittee and Healthy Canada by Design.  Besides the presentation by Julie Castonguay on HIA and supporting decision makers, the session featured presentations by Susan Eaton of the People Assessing Their Health (PATH) network, Gayle Bursey from the Region of Peel Public Health, and Kelly Drew from Toronto Public Health.

The Canadian Institute of Planners (CIP) Conference took place in Fredericton, and the session was held on July 10 from 10:30 to 12:00.
