During this webinar, participants learned about the context in which the National Collaborating Centres for Public Health have become involved in clarifying the roles of public health in population mental health and wellness promotion. They learned about the processes which led to this clarification. A general overview of these roles was discussed. Finally, an example of integration of a population mental health perspective in public health practice was presented.

At the end of the webinar, participants were able to:
- Recognize the context and processes that led to the clarification of the roles of public health in population mental health and wellness promotion.
- Identify the various roles public health may play in promoting population mental health and wellness.
- Understand the process of integration of a population mental health perspective in a public health practice setting.
